Bogs gumboots for mud, wet paddocks and cold mornings, in mens and womens fits. The Classic Mid, Classic High and Classic Tall II, the seamless Ultra Mid and Seamless Tall, the Workman high abrasion boot, Mossy Oak and Real Tree camo, the Appaloosa wide calf, and the womens Mesa, Hazel Chelsea and Piper Chelsea. They are stocked in store at Baylis Street, Wagga Wagga.
How warm do you need them
Bogs quote insulation as the thickness of their Neo-Tech lining. The Classic Mid and the Mossy Oak Classic High carry 7 mm and the Classic Mid is comfort rated to minus 40 degrees. The womens Mesa has 5 mm, the Real Tree camo Classic Seamless has 5 mm with a comfort range of minus 40 to 16 degrees, and the Hazel Chelsea has 3 mm for everyday wear. Pair them with warm thick socks for frosty starts.
Mid, high or tall
A mid height boot is quicker on and off around the house and yard. A tall boot keeps mud and water off the shin; the Classic High Seamless measures 36 cm high with a 45 cm calf on a US mens 9. The Appaloosa is a wide calf version of the classic tall. The Mossy Oak and Real Tree camo models are the ones for hunting gear and wet country, and wet weather gear covers the top half.
Chelsea styles for everyday
The Hazel Chelsea in black or salmon and the Piper Chelsea in purple, emerald or black give you a fully waterproof rubber boot in a lower, lighter shape for town, the garden and travel. The rest of the boots and shoes is there for dry days.
Common questions
What size Bogs should I buy?
Bogs are sized in US sizing, which is not the same as the UK sizes most work boots use, so it is worth trying a pair on in store at Baylis Street before you buy. Wear the socks you will wear in them, especially with a 7 mm lined boot.
What does seamless construction mean?
The boot is made without the traditional join between the upper and the outsole, which is where gumboots usually crack and start to leak. It also cuts weight.
Which Bogs are the warmest?
The 7 mm Neo-Tech models, such as the Classic Mid and the Mossy Oak Classic High. The 5 mm Mesa and Real Tree Classic Seamless sit in the middle, and the 3 mm Hazel Chelsea is the lightest for everyday wear.
Do you have a wide calf gumboot?
Yes. The Bogs Classic Tall Appaloosa is the wide calf version of the classic tall boot.
Are Bogs good for hunting?
The Mossy Oak Classic High and the Real Tree camo Classic Seamless are made for it: waterproof, insulated and patterned for cover in paddocks and wet country.
